In the spotlight – JR Centrepieces

It’s been a busy year so far for JR Centrepieces. Our stunning decorations have already graced the tables at weddings, corporate and charity events and even Leicester City Football Club. We thought we would take this opportunity to tell you how and why we set up our events company and what we’ve been up to since…

​Uninspired by the centrepieces available for hire at the time, James Barron set about designing his own table decorations for his wedding in December 2011. His willow tree centrepieces - branches of twisted willow in glass vases filled with crystal ice – wowed guests and looked beautiful on the tables during the day. The trees came to life at night using a specialised lighting system, adding a touch of magic and sparkle to the evening celebrations.
 
His creations created such a buzz that James quit his day job and set up JR Centrepieces the following year. He started off with five centrepiece designs available to hire for weddings and events. Just three years later it had grown into a highly successful events company. A further 15 centrepieces were then added to the collection. These included delicate crystal trees, elegant floating flower centrepieces and contemporary bubble tubes.

Since then our designs have been used at all kinds of events across the UK including weddings and corporate events for major UK retailers such as House of Fraser, Homebase and Argos. They have appeared at the Grosvenor Hotel in London, Leicester City Football Club’s players’ awards ceremony and Twickenham Stadium, to name but a few.

Themed events are becoming more and more popular and JR Centrepieces has a range of table decorations that can be customised for any theme. Our bespoke ice tubes, for example, can be personalised with designs, names or logos. And with 13 different colours available, our centrepieces can add a touch of glitz and glamour to any occasion.

This month we lit up the Ricoh Arena in Coventry at the Youth Sport Trust’s awards ceremony. For this event, we designed a new frosted flame centrepiece to complement the Rio Olympics theme. The centrepieces signified the Olympic torch and were lit up with fading colours to tie in with the colourful Rio theme. They looked spectacular on the tables.
