Uninspired by the centrepieces available for hire at the time, James Barron set about designing his own table decorations for his wedding in December 2011. His willow tree centrepieces - branches of twisted willow in glass vases filled with crystal ice – wowed guests and looked beautiful on the tables during the day. The trees came to life at night using a specialised lighting system, adding a touch of magic and sparkle to the evening celebrations.
His creations created such a buzz that James quit his day job and set up JR Centrepieces the following year. He started off with five centrepiece designs available to hire for weddings and events. Just three years later it had grown into a highly successful events company. A further 15 centrepieces were then added to the collection. These included delicate crystal trees, elegant floating flower centrepieces and contemporary bubble tubes.
